Follow these 6 tips for beautifully maintaied stone floors!
Dust, mop or vacuum daily
Removing dust and dirt before it becomes embedded in your tile and grout is a good start. It's the easiest way to keep your floors looking great. We don't recommend Straw brooms. The softer your broom or mop, the better and more gentle it is.
Taking care with your cleaner
Don't use cleaners containing ammonia, acids, bleach or abrasives. There are a wide range of gentle products on the market made specifically for natural stone floors. These are your safest bet.
Cleaning up any spills as soon as possible
If there is a spill. blot it versus wiping and spreading the spill. Sealers are not necessarily 100% effective at keeping stains from appearing, so don't let a spill sit and risk staining your tile and grout.
Using floor mats at your doorways
Placing a door mat on both sides of any doors leading outside to keep grit and dirt at a minimum. Sand and grit will scratch tiles if not managed.
Protect you tiles from furniture
Using protective felt pads on your furniture to avoid scratching and wear and tear. Ensure that you lift heavy furniture to carry, versus pushing or pulling it across your stone floor.
Regular sealing
Following the manufacturer's instructions is a must for sealing your floor and always be sure to stick to the time table recommended.
